Sarah and Pip set up No.38 in September 2014 and opened its doors with a little help from the Mayor of Newport Pagnell in October of the same year. The building had previously been a bridal shop but had been empty since March. Pip walked past it and said to her hubby "That's my shop!". The next move was to view it with Sarah and from then on it all started happening.
The only previous experience the girls had was that they were both in other emporiums renting spaces. The girls themselves had met on the vintage fair circuit and both realised that they had the same dream and vision. An emporium without the clutter and a lot of style thrown in for good measure. They hand picked all their traders very carefully trying not to have too many overlaps but plenty of variety too.
The big day came and No.38 was born on the 11 October 2014 with a grand opening. Newport has received the girls really well with everyone saying; "This is just what the town needed". The shop has proved to be a very popular addition to the High Street and is always bustling with customers.
